Since its establishment in 1997, Aeon Fantasy has grown as a member of the Aeon Group that operates indoor theme parks at shopping centers and other amusement facilities for families.
In recent years, our operating environment has been challenging because of the maturity of the amusement facility market and the diversification of customers’ needs. We are determined to grow and differentiate ourselves by focusing on three initiatives: increasing the number of amusement facilities, making our brands more powerful, and purchasing amusement game units outside Japan. All these activities are aimed at achieving our goal of raising consolidated net sales to ¥100 billion.
In Japan, we became Japan’s largest amusement facility company in terms of sales and number of locations following the June 2015 establishment of an alliance with Fun Field Co., Ltd. We plan to use the resulting economies of scale for cost reductions that will increase profitability. In other countries, we are opening amusement facilities and entering new regions at a faster pace in order to continue to grow. We want to expand overseas operations quickly, primarily in China and the ASEAN countries.
The values of our customers change significantly over the years. One result is the emergence of many styles of amusement that people have come to enjoy. Aeon Fantasy is committed to precisely identifying and meeting the needs of people in today’s age of the consumer. In addition, we will continue to be a responsible member of society by basing operations on our mission of “We Contribute to Society by Proposing New Dreams, Enjoyment and Sharing through Joyful Play”.
I am confident that the actions we are taking to accomplish our strategic objectives will result in more growth for Aeon Fantasy in the coming years.
